How to install
Start with a clean, dry wall.
1 · Measure & cut
Mark and score the panel with a utility knife. The foam snaps cleanly along the line.
2 · Apply adhesive
15 dots of construction adhesive on the back: 12 around the perimeter and 3 down the center.
3 · Press to the wall
Press firmly on a clean, flat surface for 20 seconds, one panel at a time.
Tips: for extra hold, add screws into studs or drywall anchors. Paint with water-based acrylic or latex.

How do I install these panels?
Apply construction adhesive to the back of each panel and press onto a clean, dry wall. For extra hold, you can also fix the panels with screws into studs or drywall anchors. Use a standard utility knife to trim panels around outlets, switches, and corners. Most walls are finished in a single afternoon.
Can I paint the panels?
Yes. Use a water-based paint such as acrylic or latex. A foam roller works well over the texture and a brush helps you reach the recessed joints. Avoid solvent-based paints and standard aerosol spray cans, because the solvents attack expanded polystyrene. If you want to spray, run a water-based paint through a sprayer and test on an offcut first.
Are the panels moisture resistant?
Yes. Our high-density polystyrene panels are water-resistant and suitable for kitchens, bathrooms, and humid environments. They will not warp, rot, or develop mold over time, which makes them a safer choice than real veneer in moisture-prone rooms.
Can these panels be used outdoors, and are any precautions needed?
Yes! Snap Masons panels can be used outdoors and exterior walls. For outdoor use, we recommend applying a UV-resistant, water-based protective varnish to help prevent fading, cracking, and weather damage.
How do I replace a damaged panel?
Use a chisel or oscillating tool to carefully remove the damaged panel, then scrape off any old adhesive on the wall. Clean and dry the surface, apply fresh construction adhesive to the back of the replacement panel, and press it firmly into place. Some light touch-up painting around the seam may be needed afterward.
How long does shipping take?
Delivery generally takes 3 to 5 business days. We ship within the United States only, and ground shipping is free in the contiguous US.
